| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, IDEA Achieve Academy and College Prep in Haltom City |

| 6 | 6 | | was honored at the America's Healthiest Schools Leaders Summit, |

| 7 | 7 | | which took place in Washington, D.C., on October 13 and 14, 2023; |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Hosted by Alliance for a Healthier Generation, the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | annual summit recognizes schools from across the nation for their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | efforts to advance the physical, mental, and social-emotional |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | health of their staff and students; this year, IDEA Achieve Academy |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and College Prep was honored as one of the healthiest schools in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | America in multiple topic areas; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The campus has established a number of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | health-focused initiatives, including a food drive and the Junior |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Farm Club, which gives students the opportunity to cultivate and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | prepare their own food while learning about nutrition; the school |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | also offers an innovative physical education program to ensure that |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | students are exercising effectively; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In 2019, IDEA Tarrant County was founded with |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Achieve Academy and College Prep as one of its flagship campuses; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | currently serving nearly 1,100 students in kindergarten through |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | ninth grade, IDEA Achieve is ably guided by principals Giovanni |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Outram and Howard Robinson and assistant principal Christy Timmons; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, IDEA Achieve Academy and College Prep has |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the health and well-being of |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | its students and community, and the school is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | special recognition for its many achievements; now, therefore, be |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
