| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Gregory concluded his tenure as mayor of |

| 6 | 6 | | La Vernia in 2022, drawing to a close a decade of exemplary service |

| 7 | 7 | | to the community; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, First elected in May 2012, Mr. Gregory ably guided |

| 9 | 9 | | the city with an eye to the future over the course of his tenure in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | municipal government, and his knowledge and expertise in a wide |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | range of civic issues earned him the respect of many people along |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the way; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Through his leadership and dedication, Robert |

| 14 | 14 | | Gregory has helped to make La Vernia an even better place in which |

| 15 | 15 | | to live and work, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his many |

| 16 | 16 | | contributions; now, therefore, be it |

| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 18 | 18 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert |

| 19 | 19 | | Gregory on his retirement as mayor of La Vernia and extend to him |
