| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in |

| 6 | 6 | | Dumas has been recognized as one of the top long-term care nursing |

| 7 | 7 | | facilities in the nation by U.S. News and World Report; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In addition to the national rating, MNRC was ranked |

| 9 | 9 | | among the top five percent of skilled nursing homes in Texas on the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | U.S. News and World Report list of Best Nursing Homes for 2022-2023; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | facilities are evaluated on stringent factors that include resident |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | care and safety, registered nurse and weekend staffing, health |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | inspections, infection rates, and success in preventing emergency |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | room and hospital visits; additionally, the center has earned the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | highest rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Established more than 40 years ago, MNRC is a member |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of the Moore County Hospital District, whose mission is to improve |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the health status of the people of the district and the surrounding |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | rural communities; the center's registered and licensed vocational |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | nurses and certified nursing assistants and medication aides |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | provide quality and compassionate care to residents who benefit |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | from an experienced staff as well as from a wide range of activities |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and a recent facility renovation; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Memorial Nursing and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Rehabilitation Center has been a trusted resource to countless area |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Texans, and its designation as one of the top nursing homes in the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | U.S. is a testament to the institution's ongoing commitment to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | excellence; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Memorial |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on being named one of the top |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | long-term care nursing facilities in the nation by U.S. News and |

| 34 | 34 | | World Report and that all those associated with the facility be |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | extended sincere best wishes for continued success with their |
|---|
