| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |

| 6 | 6 | | meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |

| 7 | 7 | | of Dwayne Thomas Stenson of Houston, who passed away on August 11, |

| 8 | 8 | | 2023, at the age of 63; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Nilda Valles Stenson-Robinson and Thomas |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Stenson, Dwayne Stenson was born on December 7, 1959, in New York |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | City and grew up in Miami, Florida, with five siblings, Lydia, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Audrey, Martin, Rosalind, and Bradley; he proudly served his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | country as a member of the U.S. Army, and he enjoyed a successful |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | career as an auto mechanic that spanned nearly half a century; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family, Mr. Stenson drew |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | strength from a rewarding marriage with his wife, Cheryl, and he |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | took great pride in his children, Kevin, Sarah, and Heather, and his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | two bonus children, Anthony and Nicole; in his later years, he |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, Kaiden and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Sophia, and his life was further enriched by his dog, Harley; in his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | leisure hours, he could often be found watching NASCAR races or |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his wife; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, While the death of Dwayne Stenson brings great |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | sadness to his family and friends, he leaves behind a legacy that |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | will long be treasured by all those who held him dear; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of Dwayne Thomas Stenson and extend heartfelt sympathy to his |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | family and friends; and, be it further |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
