| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Fred Grampp has been recognized as a 2023 80 Over |

| 6 | 6 | | Eighty Honoree by Family Eldercare; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Family Eldercare's 80 Over Eighty is an annual event |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | that acknowledges and showcases the rich tapestry of individuals |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | over the age of 80 in Central Texas and the diversity of their |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | experiences; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Nominated for his exemplary record of service and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | volunteerism, 85-year-old Fred Grampp has given generously of his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | time and talents to numerous organizations and initiatives |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | throughout his life, including the Kiwanis Club, the Friday |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | BackPack food program at Anderson Mill Elementary, the Austin |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Baptist Chapel Angel House Soup Kitchen, PBS, and 4-H, as well as |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | various church programs; in addition, he helped start the local |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Hill Country Christmas Bureau working in conjunction with the Blue |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Santa gift donation program in 1983; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, For nearly four decades, Mr. Grampp has also been an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | active volunteer with Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM), a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and other |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | assistance to people and families in need; he previously served as |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | president of the Board of Directors, and in the early 1980s, he |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | along with his wife, Karen, helped establish HCCM's thrift store; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | today, he continues his service with the organization in a variety |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of ways, such as helping with the food pantry and with retail store |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | donation pickups; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Fred Grampp has set an inspiring example of |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | community engagement, and he has earned the lasting respect and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | admiration of all who are privileged to know him; now, therefore, be |
|---|

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
