| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Brooke Stewart of Victory Christian Academy in |

| 6 | 6 | | Decatur was honored as a 2023 Christian Teacher of the Year by the |

| 7 | 7 | | Herzog Foundation at its awards gala in Washington, D.C., on |

| 8 | 8 | | September 30; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Christian Teacher of the Year accolade is part |

| 10 | 10 | | of the Herzog Foundation's Excellence in Christian Education award |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | series; it is presented to 12 educators from across the nation who |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | have demonstrated the highest standards of excellence and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | innovation in teaching students in kindergarten through the 12th |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | grade at traditional, hybrid, and micro Christian schools; named |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for the late philanthropist and businessman Stanley M. Herzog, the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | foundation is committed to accelerating the development of quality |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Christian education; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, An agriculture science teacher, Ms. Stewart started |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the ag program at Victory Christian Academy four years ago; under |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | her leadership, it has grown from one class to a full K-12 program; |

| 21 | 21 | | and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through her exceptional dedication, Brooke Stewart |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | is helping provide young Texans with a strong foundation on which to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | build, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now, |

| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Brooke |
