8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the Pedernales |

9 | 9 | | Electric Cooperative, Ms. Lee joined some 1,500 students from |

10 | 10 | | around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, |

11 | 11 | | D.C.; in the course of the program, she learned about U.S. history |

12 | 12 | | and government, met with local political representatives, and |
---|
13 | 13 | | toured various historic sites, such as Capitol Hill, the |
---|
14 | 14 | | U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National Cemetery; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A student at Texas A&M University, Ms. Lee is |
---|
16 | 16 | | currently pursuing an economics degree; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Sydney Lee has distinguished herself as a young |
---|
18 | 18 | | leader of great promise, and she may indeed take justifiable pride |
---|
19 | 19 | | in participating in this exciting experience; now, therefore, be it |
---|
20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

21 | 21 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sydney Lee on |

22 | 22 | | taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative |

23 | 23 | | Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to her |
