| 9 | 9 | | Administrative Hearings. |

| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 552.117, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (a-1) In addition to the exceptions provided by Subsection |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (a), information is excepted from the requirements of Section |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 552.021 if it is information that: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) relates to the home address, home telephone |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | number, emergency contact information, or social security number of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | a current or former administrative law judge for the State Office of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Administrative Hearings, regardless of whether the person complies |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with Section 552.024 or 552.1175; or |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (2) reveals whether a person described by Subdivision |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (1) has family members. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 2. Section 552.1175, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (a-1) In addition to the individuals described by |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Subsection (a), this section applies to a current or former |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | administrative law judge for the State Office of Administrative |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Hearings. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 3. Section 25.025, Tax Code, is amended by adding |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Subsection (a-2) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (a-2) In addition to the individuals described by |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Subsection (a), this section applies to a current or former |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | administrative law judge for the State Office of Administrative |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Hearings. |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | SECTION 4. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | a request for information that is received by a governmental body or |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | an officer on or after the effective date of this Act. A request for |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | information that was received before the effective date of this Act |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | is governed by the law in effect on the date the request was |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | received, and the former law is continued in effect for that |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | purpose. |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | SECTION 5. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | last day of the legislative session. |
