SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 39
WHEREAS, Mousab Eltgani participated in the National Rural
Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth
Tour during the summer of 2023; and
WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the
Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Mr. Eltgani joined more than
1,800 students from around the country for an all-expenses-paid
trip to Washington, D.C.; over the course of the program, he
learned about U.S. history and government, met with local
political representatives, and toured various historic sites,
such as Capitol Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington
National Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Eltgani is a senior at Leander High School,
and he plans to major in computer science and minor in political
science in college; inspired by his trip to our nation's capital,
he intends to apply for admission to Georgetown University and
George Washington University; and
WHEREAS, Mousab Eltgani has distinguished himself as a
young leader of great promise, and he may indeed take justifiable
pride in participating in this exciting experience; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Mousab
Eltgani on taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric
Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Mr. Eltgani as an expression of high regard by the
Texas Senate.
