 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The prosperity of the Lone Star State has been
 greatly influenced by family farming and ranching, and Betty Royal
 Rackley of Atascosa County has been officially recognized as heir
 to this proud tradition with the acceptance of the Old Fuller Place
 into the state's Family Land Heritage Program in 2023; and
 WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Texas Department of Agriculture,
 this program honors farms and ranches that have been in continuous
 agricultural operation by the same family for a century or more; and
 WHEREAS, William Barton Fuller moved to Atascosa County with
 his parents, John S. and Rebecca Fuller, and he grew up in a pioneer
 home centered around a life of ranching; in 1900, he acquired 191
 acres of land from the Jose Peche original tract, where he raised
 cattle; he later passed the ranch down to his son, Guy Fuller, who
 in turn transferred ownership to his nephew, Ned Royal; today, the
 Old Fuller Place is owned by Betty Royal Rackley, the
 great-granddaughter of the founder, and it continues to produce
 beef cattle; and
 WHEREAS, In preserving her property as a working ranch, Betty
 Rackley is making her own contribution to her family's legacy, and
 it is indeed fitting that she be honored for her outstanding
 stewardship; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd
 Called Session, hereby congratulate Betty Royal Rackley on the
 induction of the Old Fuller Place into the Texas Department of
 Agriculture Family Land Heritage Program and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Rackley as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas Senate.
