A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to making an appropriation for the construction,
operation, and maintenance of a Department of Public Safety office
in Liberty County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION TO TRUSTEED PROGRAMS WITHIN THE
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR. The amount of $19,539,814 is appropriated
from the general revenue fund to the Trusteed Programs within the
Office of the Governor for use during the two-year period beginning
on the effective date of this Act for the construction, operation,
and maintenance of a Department of Public Safety office in Liberty
County.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect
immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members
elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas
Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for
immediate effect, this Act takes effect on the 91st day after the
last day of the legislative session.
