66 AN ACT
77 relating to the career and technology education allotment under the
88 Foundation School Program.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 48.106(a), Education Code, is amended to
1111 read as follows:
1212 (a) For each full-time equivalent student in average daily
1313 attendance in an approved career and technology education program
1414 in grades 5 [7] through 12, a district is entitled to an annual
1515 allotment equal to the basic allotment, or, if applicable, the sum
1616 of the basic allotment and the allotment under Section 48.101 to
1717 which the district is entitled, multiplied by:
1818 (1) 1.1 for a full-time equivalent student in career
1919 and technology education courses not in an approved program of
2020 study;
2121 (2) 1.28 for a full-time equivalent student in levels
2222 one and two career and technology education courses in an approved
2323 program of study, as identified by the agency; and
2424 (3) 1.47 for a full-time equivalent student in levels
2525 three and four career and technology education courses in an
2626 approved program of study, as identified by the agency.
2727 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the
2828 last day of the legislative session.
