7 | 7 | | relating to the career and technology education allotment under the |

8 | 8 | | Foundation School Program. |

9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 48.106(a), Education Code, is amended to |
---|
11 | 11 | | read as follows: |
---|
12 | 12 | | (a) For each full-time equivalent student in average daily |
---|
13 | 13 | | attendance in an approved career and technology education program |
---|
14 | 14 | | in grades 5 [7] through 12, a district is entitled to an annual |
---|
15 | 15 | | allotment equal to the basic allotment, or, if applicable, the sum |
---|
16 | 16 | | of the basic allotment and the allotment under Section 48.101 to |
---|
17 | 17 | | which the district is entitled, multiplied by: |
---|
18 | 18 | | (1) 1.1 for a full-time equivalent student in career |
---|
19 | 19 | | and technology education courses not in an approved program of |
---|
20 | 20 | | study; |
---|
21 | 21 | | (2) 1.28 for a full-time equivalent student in levels |
---|
22 | 22 | | one and two career and technology education courses in an approved |
---|
23 | 23 | | program of study, as identified by the agency; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | (3) 1.47 for a full-time equivalent student in levels |
---|
25 | 25 | | three and four career and technology education courses in an |
---|
26 | 26 | | approved program of study, as identified by the agency. |
---|
27 | 27 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the |
---|
28 | 28 | | last day of the legislative session. |
