| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Farm Bureau received the 2023 |

| 6 | 6 | | Golden Buckle Award from the Texas Farm Bureau at the |

| 7 | 7 | | organization's 90th Annual Meeting in Frisco; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, One of the TFB's highest honors, the Golden Buckle |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Award recognizes county bureaus that have demonstrated exceptional |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | agricultural promotion, membership growth, and involvement with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the parent organization; the award comes with a $10,000 prize and a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | custom-made belt buckle for each county director; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Farm Bureau hosted community |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | activities and educational events throughout the year, and it |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | launched the Youth Discussion Meet and the Public Speaking Contest |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to help young people in the area develop communication skills and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | knowledge related to agriculture; the organization's members have |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | also supported agriculture-friendly legislation and met with state |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and national politicians to discuss issues facing farmers and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | ranchers; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Montgomery County Farm |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Bureau has made a lasting and positive difference in its community, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and it is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; now, |

| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the |
