| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the death |

| 6 | 6 | | of Rodrigo Garza Ramon Sr. of Robstown on August 6, 2022, at the age |

| 7 | 7 | | of 86; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Francisco Ramon and Felicidad Garza, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Rodrigo Ramon was born on March 13, 1936, in Escobas, and he grew up |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | with five siblings, Frances, Manuel, Heriberto, Teodoro, and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Catarina; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ramon worked as a truck driver for Wilbur-Ellis |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | until his retirement; engaged in his community, he was a member of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Robstown Community Center; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ramon enjoyed a rewarding family life with his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | wife, Susana, who preceded him in death; the couple were blessed |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with four children, Lorraine, Rodrigo, Cathy, and Asuzena, and with |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the passing years, Mr. Ramon had the pleasure of seeing his family |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | grow to include eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |

| 26 | 26 | | Rodrigo Garza Ramon Sr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to the |

| 27 | 27 | | members of his family: to his children, Lorraine Ramon, Rodrigo |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Ramon Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Cathy Alaniz and her husband, Ruben, |

| 29 | 29 | | and Asuzena Ramirez and her husband, Guadalupe; to his sister, |

| 30 | 30 | | Frances Ramon; to his sister-in-law, Delia Ramon; to his |
