H.R. No. 19
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson is retiring as athletic trainer for
Harker Heights High School in the Killeen Independent School
District in December 2023, concluding an outstanding tenure in
education that has spanned 34 years; and
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson began his career at Copperas Cove High
School in 1990; six years later, he joined the staff at Killeen High
School, where his father, Al "Doc" Wilson, was a longtime athletic
trainer for the Kangaroos; in 2000, he became head athletic trainer
at Harker Heights High School during the Knights' first season of
competition; and
WHEREAS, A member of the Killeen High School Class of 1985,
Mr. Wilson graduated from Angelo State University; in retirement,
he looks forward to working for Harley-Davidson and continuing to
umpire high school baseball games; and
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson has made a positive impact on the lives
of countless young Texans, and as he begins the next exciting
chapter of his life, he may indeed reflect with pride on a career
well spent; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Andy Wilson on
his retirement from Harker Heights High School and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
