| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Paumen has distinguished himself in his |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Chris Turner during the 88th Legislative Session; |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Paumen has provided |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; among his duties, he |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | has helped to conduct research for State Affairs Committee |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | hearings, assisted in preparing Representative Turner for floor |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | debates, and represented the office at a Public Utility Commission |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of Texas workshop; moreover, he has drafted social media content |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and communications with constituents and stakeholders; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Paumen is studying international relations and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | global studies at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | earned placement on the dean's list; moreover, he is a researcher |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | for the Global Disinformation Lab and the Earned Media Project, and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | he belongs to the International Relations and Global Studies |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Council and is involved with the KBH Energy Center Student Advisory |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Council and Mentorship Program; he is also the recipient of a |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | fellowship for the 2024-2025 UT Austin Applied Cybersecurity |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Community Clinic in the Strauss Center for International Security |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and Law; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Andrew Paumen has performed his duties as a |

| 30 | 30 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
