| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The United States is the leader of the free world; |

| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The United States has been the beacon of light and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | hope when an international crisis occurs; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The United States has the moral imperative to show |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | compassion by providing humanitarian assistance to innocent lives |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | who have been affected by conflicts that are beyond their control; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The conflict in the Middle East has resulted in a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | crisis that requires humanitarian assistance; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The State of Texas values protecting human lives; |

| 16 | 16 | | and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The State of Texas mourns all the lives that have |

| 18 | 18 | | been lost; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby respectfully urge the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Congress of the United States to provide immediate humanitarian |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | assistance to those affected by the conflict in the Middle East; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and, be it further |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the House forward official |

| 25 | 25 | | copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Representatives of the United States Congress, and to all the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | members of the Texas delegation to congress with the request that |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | this resolution be entered in the Congressional Record as a |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | memorial to the Congress of the United States of America. |
