| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Brent Dorman, a beloved member of the Centerville |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | community and a friend to many, passed away on November 6, 2023, at |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the age of 49; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Larry and Dale Dorman, Brent Dorman was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | born in Crockett on September 18, 1974; he grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship of a brother, Bart, and he graduated from Centerville |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | High School; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Leon County, Mr. Dorman was |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | known for his expertise in ranching and horse training; he |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | possessed a remarkable ability to understand animals, and through |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the years, he partnered with his father in working with horses and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | cattle; his love of the outdoors was also evident in his passion for |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fishing, especially in his younger years, when he spent many hours |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | on the water; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Dorman enjoyed the love |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and support of his wife, Jennifer; he was the devoted father of two |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | children, Kyle and Kadence, and he also took great pride in his two |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | stepchildren, Hailee and Saidee; with the passage of time, he |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | experienced the joy of welcoming two grandchildren, Clayton and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Corinne, into the family; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Dorman was a member of the Cowboy Church of Leon |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | County, and he took great solace in singing with the church band and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | sharing in the fellowship of the congregation; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Brent Dorman embraced the values of hard work and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | integrity, and he leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and good humor that will long be treasured by those who held him |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | dear; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |

| 34 | 34 | | Brent Dorman and extend deepest condolences to the members of his |

| 35 | 35 | | family: to his wife, Jennifer Dorman; to his parents, Larry and Dale |

| 36 | 36 | | Dorman; to his brother and sister-in-law, Bart and Sherry Dorman; |

| 37 | 37 | | to his children, Kyle Dorman and Kadence Dorman; to his |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | stepdaughters, Hailee Aguilar and Saidee Castillo; to his |
