 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, John Stewart of the Flower Mound Police Department
 was promoted to the rank of sergeant on October 15, 2023, and this
 achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law
 enforcement career; and
 WHEREAS, Sergeant Stewart attended Louisiana Tech
 University, and he began his career with the Flower Mound police
 force in 2016; after working as a patrol officer, he transferred to
 the Criminal Investigations Division in 2020, and he has
 distinguished himself in the roles of fraud detective, Cellebrite
 operator, and certified cyber crime investigator; he has also
 served as a bike officer and a SWAT operator; a National Computer
 Forensics Institute graduate, he holds advanced peace officer
 certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement; and
 WHEREAS, Highly respected by his peers, Sergeant Stewart was
 honored as the Flower Mound Police Department Rookie of the Year in
 2018; additionally, he has garnered two Community Service Awards
 and a Certificate of Merit Award; a task force officer with the
 United States Secret Service, he is the recipient of multiple
 letters of appreciation and commendations from the U.S. Department
 of Justice and other federal agencies; moreover, he is a former
 president of the Flower Mound Police Association and currently
 serves as the organization's acting vice president; and
 WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication
 to duty, Sergeant John Stewart has greatly benefited his colleagues
 and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
 this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate John Stewart
 on attaining the rank of sergeant with the Flower Mound Police
 Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
 success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Sergeant Stewart as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
