| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Cody Brisendine of the Flower Mound Police |

| 7 | 7 | | Department was promoted to the rank of sergeant on October 15, 2023, |

| 8 | 8 | | and this achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law |

| 9 | 9 | | enforcement career; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Brisendine began his tenure with the Flower |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Mound Police Department in 2015, when he accepted a position as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | patrol officer; he went on to become a traffic officer in 2022, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | he attained the rank of detective; over the years, he has served on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the SWAT, mental health officer, and marine safety enforcement |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | officer teams; he has further distinguished himself by earning |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | certification as a master peace officer, police training officer, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | accident investigator, and instructor; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Prior to joining the department, Mr. Brisendine |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years, and he concluded |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | his military career at the rank of sergeant; he holds a bachelor's |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | degree from the University of North Texas; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to duty, Sergeant Cody Brisendine has greatly benefited his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | colleagues and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | pride on this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Cody |

| 28 | 28 | | Brisendine on attaining the rank of sergeant with the Flower Mound |

| 29 | 29 | | Police Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
