| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The 69th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |

| 6 | 6 | | cause for celebration, and Raul Liendo marked that special |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | milestone on November 9, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in 1954, Mr. Liendo earned a bachelor's degree |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | in government from The University of Texas at Austin; he is |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | currently in his 15th year with Oncor, and he previously served as a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | legislative consultant for TXU Energy and as a member of the staff |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | for the Texas Senate and House of Representatives; fondly known as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | "Tio Raul" to his friends at the State Capitol, he has earned the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | respect and admiration of lawmakers and staff alike for his wise |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | mentorship and extensive knowledge of the legislature; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Liendo treasures time spent with |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | his five children and five grandchildren; in his leisure hours, he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | enjoys learning about history and writing music and short stories; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Raul Liendo may |

| 21 | 21 | | reflect with pride on his wide-ranging accomplishments and on the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | many significant contributions he has made in behalf of his fellow |

| 23 | 23 | | citizens; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Raul Liendo on |

| 26 | 26 | | the occasion of his 69th birthday and extend to him sincere best |
