5	5	WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and purpose drew to a close
6	6	with the passing of Amelia Garza Webb on November 12, 2023, at the
7	7	age of 82; and
8	8	WHEREAS, The daughter of Andres and Lorenza Garza, the former
9	9	Amelia Garza was born in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on
10	10	November 21, 1940; she grew up with 10 siblings, Eliseo, Irma,
11	11	Joel, Elisa, Emma, Evangelina, Anita, Dora, Bertha, and Andres; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Mrs. Webb was dedicated to her large extended
13	13	family; she shared a fulfilling relationship with her husband,
14	14	Danney Webb, and she was the proud mother of two sons, Robert and
15	15	Daniel; through the years, she was blessed with numerous
16	16	grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren;
17	17	and
18	18	WHEREAS, An entrepreneur and accomplished businesswoman,
19	19	Mrs. Webb owned and operated Mission Auto Parts and Machine Shop in
20	20	South San Antonio; she was dedicated to customer service and set a
21	21	high standard of professionalism; and
22	22	WHEREAS, Mrs. Webb found many outlets for her creativity,
23	23	whether working on canvas, in a garden, or in the kitchen; with a
24	24	passion for helping others, she also developed expertise in
25	25	naturopathic medicine; she loved nature and found solace in the
26	26	great outdoors, enjoying both the thrill of the hunt and moments of
27	27	quiet contemplation; and
28	28	WHEREAS, Loyal and kind, Mrs. Webb was quick to offer a warm
29	29	smile, helping hand, or words of encouragement; from a young age,
30	30	she was sustained by a strong faith, and she quietly supported a
31	31	number of ministries and causes, without seeking recognition for
32	32	her generosity; always positive and optimistic, she chose to focus
33	33	on the good in every situation and every person; and
34	34	WHEREAS, Although Amelia Webb will be deeply missed by those
35	35	she left behind, they will continue to find inspiration in her
36	36	courage, resilience, and great devotion to her family and her
37	37	faith; now, therefore, be it
38	38	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
39	39	Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
40	40	Amelia Garza Webb and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her
41	41	family: to her husband, Danney Webb; to her sons, Robert Garza Soliz
42	42	and his wife, Geralyn, and Daniel Garza Soliz and his wife, Elaine;
43	43	to her grandchildren, Lisa, Lauren, Laina, Andy, Felicia, Robert,
44	44	and Melissa; to her many great-grandchildren and
45	45	great-great-grandchildren; to her siblings, Elisa, Emma,
46	46	Evangelina, Anita, Dora, Bertha, and Andres; and to her other
47	47	relatives and friends; and, be it further
48	48	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
49	49	prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
50	50	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Amelia
51	51	Webb.
