| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Carolyn Witherspoon is retiring as the executive |

| 6 | 6 | | director of the Coalition of Health Services, Inc., in Amarillo in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | December 2023, drawing to a close an exceptional tenure with the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | organization that has spanned a quarter century; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Witherspoon first joined the Coalition of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Health Services in March 1998 as a quality assurance coordinator, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and she became executive director two years later; under her |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | guidance, the coalition has excelled in its mission of enhancing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the well-being of residents of the Texas Panhandle by fostering |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | coordination among healthcare facilities and supporting ongoing |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | health initiatives in a 32-county area; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Active in her professional community, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Ms. Witherspoon has served as a director and as president of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | National Cooperative of Health Networks Association, and she was |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | recognized as the NCHN Outstanding Network Leader of the Year in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 2013; she is a graduate of Dimmitt High School and studied at West |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Texas A&M University; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Carolyn Witherspoon has distinguished herself |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | through her dedication, expertise, and commitment to benefiting her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | fellow Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; |

| 26 | 26 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Carolyn |

| 30 | 30 | | Coalition of Health Services, Inc., and extend to her sincere best |
