| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Terra Willett has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 6 | | chief of staff in the office of State Representative Kyle Kacal; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Since first joining the representative's staff in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2013, Ms. Willett has provided vital leadership and demonstrated an |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | unwavering commitment to the residents of House District 12; her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | resourcefulness, expertise, and initiative have earned the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | appreciation of her colleagues, and she has served as an |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | influential mentor to numerous legislative employees; moreover, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | she has distinguished herself through her tireless work as an |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | advocate for agriculture groups and rural communities throughout |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the state; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Willett has more than two decades of experience |

| 17 | 17 | | in the Capitol community; prior to overseeing Representative |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Kacal's staff, she served in the offices of Speaker James E. "Pete" |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Laney, Speaker Tom Craddick, State Representative Richard "Rick" |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Hardcastle, and State Representative Vicki Truitt; she is a 2001 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned a bachelor's |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | degree in political science; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Terra Willett for |
