| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lori Walker has greatly benefited the Flower Mound |

| 6 | 6 | | community through her decade of service as president of the Flower |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Mound Chamber of Commerce; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Walker was first appointed to the organization's |

| 9 | 9 | | board in 2004, and she went on to serve as chair and chair emeritus |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | before being named president in 2013; over the course of her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | exemplary tenure at the helm, she has distinguished herself through |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | her integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication; under her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | able leadership, the chamber received a five-star accreditation |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2023 for its sound policies, |

| 15 | 15 | | effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | community; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Walker has shared her time with a number of other |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | groups, including the Cross Timbers Rotary Club; she holds a degree |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | in communication arts from Austin College, and she previously |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | enjoyed a career in politics; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Lori Walker has contributed to the prosperity and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | vitality of her city through her outstanding work with the Flower |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Mound Chamber of Commerce, and in so doing, she has earned the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | respect and admiration of her fellow citizens; now, therefore, be |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Lori Walker for her |
