SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 21
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Patti and Don Johnson on their dedicated service to
Senate District 25; and
WHEREAS, Don Johnson has been a source of wisdom and
inspiration to the members of Senate District 25, and his service
to the district has been invaluable; during his time as treasurer
of the Comal County Republican Party, Don was instrumental in
maintaining the party's records and budget reports; and
WHEREAS, A man of courage and integrity, Don served as the
County Senate District 25 chairman for meetings at Texas State
Conventions, and he went above and beyond his duties supporting
precinct chairs with their responsibilities and reminding others
to uphold the standards of state law, including the Election
Code; and
WHEREAS, Patti Johnson has served in a number of leadership
positions in the district, including as president of Canyon Lake
Republican Women, as chair of the Awards and Achievements
Committee, and as co-chair of the Hospitality Committee for the
Texas Federation of Republican Women; an expert in bylaws and
procedures, Patti has earned multiple awards for her service to
the district; and
WHEREAS, Don and Patti have been active in many levels of
their party for numerous years, and their presence will be
sincerely missed in Senate District 25; it is truly fitting that
this extraordinary couple be recognized for their significant
contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Don and Patti
Johnson on their service to Senate District 25 and extend to them
best wishes in all their future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
