2	6		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	7		recognize Hastings Humans on the occasion of the company's 75th
4	8		anniversary; and
5	9		WHEREAS, Hastings Humans is a local family-owned call
6	10		center noted for its high-quality answering service and its
7	11		award-winning team of first-rate agents, who have proudly
8	12		provided exceptional customer service to generations of
9	13		satisfied clients; and
10	14		WHEREAS, The company was founded as Austin Answering
11	15		Service in 1948 by Ann Hastings in a room in her family's home;
12	16		three years later, the Hastings acquired an office in the heart
13	17		of Austin, and in 1957, the growing company purchased its first
14	18		switchboard, which is now proudly displayed in its office; and
15	19		WHEREAS, Now in its second generation of ownership,
16	20		Hastings Humans is directed by Ann's sons, and University of
17	21		Texas graduates, Mark and Scott Hastings, who have continued
18	22		their family legacy of industry and perseverance; and
19		-	WHEREAS, This beloved business and its owners and staff ~~are~~
20		-	indeed deserving of special recognition for their hard work ~~and~~
21		-	determination throughout the years and for continuing the

25	29		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
26	30		Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend the Hastings
27	31		family and staff of Hastings Humans on their decades of operation
28	32		in Austin and extend to all congratulations on the 75th
29	33		anniversary of their company and best wishes for the future; and,
30	34		be it further
31		-	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
32		-	Hastings family as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
