6+ WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Laura Lewis of San Angelo on
7+ November 28, 2023, has brought a profound loss to her family and to
8+ her many dear friends and colleagues; and
89 WHEREAS, A San Angelo native, Laura Lewis graduated from
9- Angelo State University before enjoying a successful 25-year
10- career with Delta Air Lines; she also honed her skills in event
11- management through her work in the Park City, Utah, area; and

1213 WHEREAS, In 2017, Ms. Lewis's success as the membership
13- coordinator for the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce led to her
14- being promoted to vice president of member relations for the
15- organization; she was subsequently hired as the district
16- director for State Senator Charles Perry, and she performed her
17- duties in that role with skill and dedication for nearly six
18- years; and
19- WHEREAS, Deeply committed to her community, Ms. Lewis
20- served on the advisory council of the San Angelo Clubhouse, an
14+ coordinator for the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce led to her being
15+ promoted to vice president of member relations for the
16+ organization; she was subsequently hired as the district director
17+ for State Senator Charles Perry, and she performed her duties in
18+ that role with skill and dedication for nearly six years; and
19+ WHEREAS, Deeply committed to her community, Ms. Lewis served
20+ on the advisory council of the San Angelo Clubhouse, an
2121 organization devoted to supporting and empowering adults with
2222 mental illness; she further distinguished herself through her
23- contributions to the United Way and the San Angelo Pachyderm
24- Club, which she previously led as president; and

30- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
31- Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
32- of Laura Lewis and extend heartfelt condolences to all who mourn
33- her passing; and, be it further

30+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th
31+ Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Laura Lewis and
