56 WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
6- meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and
7- friends of Jesus Adalberto Lucio of Brownsville, who passed away
8- on November 24, 2023, at the age of 71; and

910 WHEREAS, The son of Eduardo and Josefa Lucio, "Jesse" Lucio
1011 was born in Brownsville on September 3, 1952; he grew up with nine
11- siblings, Beatrice, Eddie, Bertie, Helen, Maggie, David, Bob,
12- Joe, and Richard; and
12+ siblings, Beatrice, Eddie, Bertie, Helen, Maggie, David, Bob, Joe,
13+ and Richard; and
1314 WHEREAS, Mr. Lucio taught math in the Brownsville
14- Independent School District and later became assistant principal
15- at Sunny Glen Children's Home; in addition, he enjoyed a career
16- as a golf pro, beginning with a part-time job at the Brownsville
17- Country Club in 1981; he went on to serve as head coach at The
18- University of Texas-Brownsville/Texas Southmost College from
19- 1998 to 2004, and he was employed at the First Tee of Greater
20- Brownsville from 2006 to 2012; and

30- a helping hand to those in need; an avid outdoorsman, he loved
31- fishing, hunting, sharing sunsets on the boat, and pondering the
32- weather and the heavens; he had a passion for music and would
33- linger in his car to savor the final notes of a good song; in
34- addition, he was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas
35- Longhorns and found camaraderie in discussing games with fellow
36- football aficionados; and
28+ his brother, Joe, and his grandson, Baby Jesse; through the years,

42- 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Jesus
43- Adalberto "Jesse" Lucio and extend sincere sympathy to the
44- members of his family: to his wife, Ada; to his son, Anthony
45- Lucio; to his daughters, Jessica Lucio Marren, Jaqueline Lucio
46- Stromquist, and Julie Lucio; to his brothers, Eddie, David,
47- Bobby, and Ricky; to his sisters, Bea, Bertha, Helen, and Maggie;
48- to his seven grandchildren; and to his other relatives and many
49- friends; and, be it further
