| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Through his many personal and professional |

| 7 | 7 | | achievements, Aristeo L. Partida has greatly benefited his |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | community and made a positive difference in the lives of others; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Port Lavaca, Mr. Partida was employed as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | a service technician with CenterPoint Energy for nearly four |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | decades, before his retirement in 2020; during that time, he went |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | above and beyond to perform his work as a first responder during |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | emergencies such as Hurricane Harvey in August 2017; while his own |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | family evacuated the area, he dutifully stayed behind and put his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | life at risk to ensure the safety of others; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Outside of his work in the natural gas industry, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Mr. Partida has made a name for himself as an award-winning |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | barbeque pitmaster, and he has participated in cooking competitions |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and contributed his expertise to events benefiting local charitable |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | organizations; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Partida enjoys the love |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and support of his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Partida, and their two |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | daughters and five grandchildren, who have brought him tremendous |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | joy in his golden years; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Aristeo Partida has generously |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | devoted himself to his family, his profession, and his community, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and he is a source of inspiration to all those who are privileged to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | know him; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th |

| 30 | 30 | | Called Session, hereby honor Aristeo L. Partida for his |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | professional accomplishments and his service to his community and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | extend sincere best wishes to him and his loved ones; and, be it |
