17 | 18 | | as an attorney for the United Farm Workers Union and the American |

19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A champion for the rights of the oppressed, David |

20 | 21 | | made tremendous contributions to the advancement of justice |

21 | 22 | | throughout the Rio Grande Valley region through his service as |

22 | 23 | | the director of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid; he was an advocate for |

24 | 25 | | rights of migrant farmworkers for more than 40 years until his |

41 | 43 | | nephew, and his four grandchildren were a source of great pride |
