| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Carter Bostic of the Burnet High School FFA team |

| 7 | 7 | | achieved great distinction at the 2023 National FFA Convention and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Burnet High team was named the national champion |

| 10 | 10 | | in the meats evaluation and technology category at the event, and |

| 11 | 11 | | Mr. Bostic won first-place individual honors; the competition |

| 12 | 12 | | included a general knowledge exam, a beef carcass evaluation, the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | identification of wholesale and retail cuts of beef, lamb, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | pork, the quality and yield grading of beef carcasses, a team meat |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | merchandising event, and the solving of a meat formulation problem; |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has distinguished |

| 18 | 18 | | himself through his hard work, dedication, and unwavering |

| 19 | 19 | | commitment to excellence, and he is a source of great pride to his |

| 20 | 20 | | school and community; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th |

| 22 | 22 | | Called Session, hereby congratulate Carter Bostic on being named |
