| 13 | 13 | this chapter may not purchase or use a [centrally counted optical] | |
| 14 | 14 | ballot scanner unless the ballot scanner can only use [scan system | |
| 15 | 15 | that uses] a data storage device [disc] on which information, once | |
| 16 | 16 | written, is incapable [capable] of being modified without rendering | |
| 17 | 17 | the device unreadable. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
