11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 466.358(a), Government Code, is amended | |
13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (a) The director and each lottery operator shall determine | |
15 | 15 | the compensation to be paid to sales agents for the sale of tickets | |
16 | 16 | as provided by this section. The compensation paid to a sales agent | |
17 | 17 | may not be an amount less than 7.5 [five] percent of the retail | |
18 | 18 | price of the tickets sold plus, at the discretion of the director or | |
19 | 19 | lottery operator supervising the lottery game involved, an | |
20 | 20 | incentive bonus based on attainment of sales volume, the redemption | |
21 | 21 | of winning tickets, or other objectives specified by the director | |
22 | 22 | or lottery operator for each type of lottery. | |
23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
