11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 48, Education Code, is | |
13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 48.1021 to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 48.1021. INITIAL EVALUATION FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION | |
15 | 15 | ALLOTMENT. (a) A school district is entitled to an allotment equal | |
16 | 16 | to the costs incurred by the district to provide full and individual | |
17 | 17 | initial evaluations to assess student eligibility for special | |
18 | 18 | education or related services. | |
19 | 19 | (b) Each district that receives an allotment under this | |
20 | 20 | section shall provide data requested by the agency regarding the | |
21 | 21 | costs associated with conducting each full and individual initial | |
22 | 22 | evaluation. | |
23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
