88 AN ACT
99 relating to the school safety allotment under the Foundation School
1010 Program.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
12- SECTION 1. Section 48.115, Education Code, is amended by
13- amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (c-2) to read as
14- follows:

1514 (a) Except as provided by Subsection (a-1), a school
1615 district is entitled to an annual allotment equal to the sum of the
1716 following amounts or a greater amount provided by appropriation:
1817 (1) $14 [$10] for each student in average daily
1918 attendance, plus $1 for each student in average daily attendance
2019 per every $50 by which the district's maximum basic allotment under
2120 Section 48.051 exceeds $6,160, prorated as necessary; and
2221 (2) $37,000 [$15,000] per campus.
23- (c-2) Not later than December 1 of each year, each school
24- district shall submit to the agency a report accounting for the
25- expenditure of funds received under this section.
2622 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
