| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 455.161(a), Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (a) The department shall require a student enrolled in a | |
| 14 | 14 | massage school in this state to hold a permit stating the student's | |
| 15 | 15 | name and the name of the school and including a photograph of the | |
| 16 | 16 | student's face. The permit must be displayed in a reasonable manner | |
| 17 | 17 | at the school. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | |
| 19 | 19 | of this Act, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation shall | |
| 20 | 20 | adopt rules necessary to implement the changes in law made by this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act to Section 455.161, Occupations Code. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
