| 11 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 2001.221, Government Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | Sec. 2001.221. [DRIVER'S] LICENSES AND ORDERS RELATING TO |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | TRANSPORTATION. This chapter does not apply to a suspension, |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | revocation, cancellation, denial, or disqualification of a |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | driver's license or commercial driver's license, or to an action by |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles related to an order to cease |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | intrastate operation under the Department of Public Safety's |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | compliance review and safety audit program for commercial motor |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | vehicles, as authorized by: |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | (1) Subchapter N, Chapter 521, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | except Sections 521.304 and 521.305 of that subchapter, or by |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | Subchapter O or P of that chapter; |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | (2) Chapter 522, Transportation Code; |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | (3) Chapter 601, Transportation Code; |
|---|
| 27 | 29 | | (4) Section 644.155, Transportation Code; or |

| 28 | 30 | | (5) [(4)] Article 42A.406 or 42A.407, Code of Criminal |

| 30 | 32 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 31 | 33 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 32 | 34 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 33 | 35 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 34 | 36 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
