12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 1603, Occupations Code, is | |
14 | 14 | amended by adding Section 1603.302 to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | Sec. 1603.302. CONTINUING EDUCATION REGARDING SEXUAL | |
16 | 16 | ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING. The commission | |
17 | 17 | shall adopt rules requiring a license holder to complete continuing | |
18 | 18 | education on identifying and assisting victims of: | |
19 | 19 | (1) sexual assault; | |
20 | 20 | (2) domestic violence; and | |
21 | 21 | (3) human trafficking. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | |
23 | 23 | of this Act, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation shall | |
24 | 24 | adopt the rules required by Section 1603.302, Occupations Code, as | |
25 | 25 | added by this Act. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
