| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 552.1081, Government Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 552.1081. EXCEPTION: CONFIDENTIALITY OF CERTAIN |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | INFORMATION REGARDING EXECUTION OF CONVICT. (a) Information is |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | excepted from the requirements of Section 552.021 if it contains |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | identifying information that is confidential under Article |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 43.14(b) [43.14], Code of Criminal Procedure, including that of[: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | [(1)] any person who participates in an execution |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | procedure, including a person who uses [, supplies,] or administers |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | a substance during the execution. |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (b) The exception to disclosure provided by Subsection (a) |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | does not apply to identifying information about a [; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | [(2) any] person or entity that manufactures, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | transports, tests, procures, compounds, prescribes, dispenses, or |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | provides a substance or supplies used in an execution. |

| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 2. Article 43.14, Code of Criminal Procedure, is |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | amended by amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c) to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (b) Except as provided by Subsection (c), the [The] name, |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | address, and other identifying information of [the following is |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | confidential and excepted from disclosure under Section 552.021, |
|---|

| 44 | 44 | | information, is not confidential, and is not excepted from required |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | disclosure under Section 552.021, Government Code. |

| 46 | 46 | | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | a request for information that is received by a governmental body or |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | officer for public information on or after the effective date of |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | this Act. |
|---|
| 50 | 50 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
