12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 61.065(e), Natural Resources Code, is | |
14 | 14 | amended to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | (e) Subsection (c)(1) does not apply to a municipality with | |
16 | 16 | a population of less than 1,000 that is located in a county: | |
17 | 17 | (1) adjacent to a county with a population of more than | |
18 | 18 | 3.3 million; or | |
19 | 19 | (2) with a population of more than 32,000 and less than | |
20 | 20 | 40,000. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. Section 61.066(e), Natural Resources Code, is | |
22 | 22 | amended to read as follows: | |
23 | 23 | (e) Subsection (b)(1) does not apply to a county: | |
24 | 24 | (1) adjacent to a county with a population of more than | |
25 | 25 | 3.3 million that contains a municipality adjacent to the Gulf of | |
26 | 26 | Mexico with a population of less than 1,000; or | |
27 | 27 | (2) with a population of more than 32,000 and less than | |
28 | 28 | 40,000. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
