810 AN ACT
911 relating to the required age for a license or permit relating to the
1012 conduct of a public fireworks display.
1113 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1214 SECTION 1. Section 2154.101(b), Occupations Code, is
1315 amended to read as follows:
1416 (b) A person who is younger than 18 [21] years of age may not
1517 be issued a [pyrotechnic operator's license. The minimum age of a
1618 person issued another] license under Subchapter D [is 18 years of
1719 age].
1820 SECTION 2. Section 2154.201(a), Occupations Code, is
1921 amended to read as follows:
2022 (a) [A person who is younger than 21 years of age may not be
2123 issued a public fireworks display permit.] A person who is younger
2224 than 18 years of age may not be issued a [another] permit under this
2325 subchapter.
2426 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
