| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter I, Chapter 391, Transportation Code, | |
| 12 | 12 | is amended by adding Section 391.2521 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 391.2521. COUNTY APPROVAL FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL | |
| 14 | 14 | SIGNS. (a) The commissioners court of a county by order may | |
| 15 | 15 | require a person to obtain county approval for the construction or | |
| 16 | 16 | reconstruction of a commercial sign located adjacent to and visible | |
| 17 | 17 | from: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) Ranch-to-Market Road 12; | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) Ranch-to-Market Road 150; | |
| 20 | 20 | (3) Ranch-to-Market Road 967; or | |
| 21 | 21 | (4) Ranch-to-Market Road 1826. | |
| 22 | 22 | (b) The department may not issue a permit under this chapter | |
| 23 | 23 | to an applicant who is required to obtain county approval under this | |
| 24 | 24 | section unless the person has obtained the required county | |
| 25 | 25 | approval. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
