| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 548.510. INSPECTION PROGRAM REPLACEMENT FEE. |

| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 2. Section 548.510(a), Transportation Code, as |

| 17 | 17 | | amended by Chapters 851 (H.B. 3297) and 999 (H.B. 198), Acts of the |

| 18 | 18 | | 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, is reenacted to read as |

| 19 | 19 | | follows: |

| 20 | 20 | | (a) Except as provided by Subsections (b) and (c), in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | addition to other fees imposed at the time of registration, at the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | time of application for initial registration or renewal of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | registration of a motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, pole |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | trailer, or mobile home, the applicant shall pay an annual fee of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | $7.50. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. Section 548.054, Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | repealed. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
