88 AN ACT
99 relating to vehicle safety inspections of certain travel trailers.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. The heading to Section 548.510, Transportation
1212 Code, as amended by Chapters 851 (H.B. 3297) and 999 (H.B. 198),
1313 Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, is reenacted
1414 to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 548.510. INSPECTION PROGRAM REPLACEMENT FEE.
1616 SECTION 2. Section 548.510(a), Transportation Code, as
1717 amended by Chapters 851 (H.B. 3297) and 999 (H.B. 198), Acts of the
1818 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, is reenacted to read as
1919 follows:
2020 (a) Except as provided by Subsections (b) and (c), in
2121 addition to other fees imposed at the time of registration, at the
2222 time of application for initial registration or renewal of
2323 registration of a motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, pole
2424 trailer, or mobile home, the applicant shall pay an annual fee of
2525 $7.50.
2626 SECTION 3. Section 548.054, Transportation Code, is
2727 repealed.
2828 SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2929 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3030 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
3131 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3232 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
