| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 462.022, Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |

| 15 | 15 | | (e) A facility that refuses to admit a minor for voluntary |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | treatment and rehabilitation under this section shall provide to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the minor's parent, managing conservator, or guardian requesting |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the minor's admission to the facility written notice of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | parent's, managing conservator's, or guardian's right to seek |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | voluntary treatment and rehabilitation of the minor at another |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | facility. |

| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
