88 AN ACT
99 relating to designating October 15 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss
1010 Remembrance Day.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
1313 amended by adding Section 662.088 to read as follows:
1414 Sec. 662.088. PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS REMEMBRANCE DAY.
1515 (a) October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day to
1616 remember and honor those who have experienced the loss of a baby
1717 during or shortly following pregnancy by miscarriage, stillbirth,
1818 sudden infant death syndrome, or death of the newborn baby.
1919 (b) Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day shall be
2020 regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities,
2121 including by showing support for those who have experienced a loss
2222 and providing information on resources available to families who
2323 are facing a loss.
2424 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
