| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 13 | 13 | is amended by adding Section 225.243 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 225.243. BOB CORNETT PARKWAY. (a) The portion of U.S. | |
| 15 | 15 | Highway 377 under construction as of September 1, 2024, as a relief | |
| 16 | 16 | route around Cresson, in Hood and Johnson Counties is designated as | |
| 17 | 17 | the Bob Cornett Parkway. The designation is in addition to any | |
| 18 | 18 | other designation. | |
| 19 | 19 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 21 | 21 | designation as the Bob Cornett Parkway and any other appropriate | |
| 22 | 22 | information; and | |
| 23 | 23 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 24 | 24 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
