| 13 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 14 | 14 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 121, Utilities Code, is | |
| 15 | 15 | amended by adding Section 121.159 to read as follows: | |
| 16 | 16 | Sec. 121.159. GAS INVENTORY SYSTEM. (a) The railroad | |
| 17 | 17 | commission shall collaborate with the independent organization | |
| 18 | 18 | certified under Section 39.151 for the ERCOT power region and the | |
| 19 | 19 | Public Utility Commission of Texas to create a gas inventory system | |
| 20 | 20 | in the manner provided by this section. | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) The railroad commission by rule shall require each | |
| 22 | 22 | operator of an intrastate gas pipeline facility described by | |
| 23 | 23 | Section 121.2015(a)(3) to provide to the independent organization | |
| 24 | 24 | in real time information about the facility's available gas supply, | |
| 25 | 25 | including through the use of telemetry or a hotline. | |
| 26 | 26 | (c) Information in the gas inventory system is confidential | |
| 27 | 27 | and not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
