| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 232.0025, Local Government Code, is |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | amended by amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (b-1) to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (b) If a person submits a plat application to the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | commissioners court that does not include all of the documentation |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | or other information required by Subsection (a), the commissioners |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | court or the county authority responsible for approving plats shall |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | [, not later than the 10th business day after the date the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | commissioners court receives the application,] notify the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | applicant of the missing documents or other information not later |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | than: |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (1) the 10th business day after the date the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | commissioners court receives the application; or |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (2) the 30th day after the date the commissioners |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | court receives the application, if the county has a population less |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | than 850,000. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (b-1) The commissioners court or the county authority |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | responsible for approving plats shall allow an applicant to timely |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | submit the missing documents or other information for a plat |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | application that does not include all of the documentation or other |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | information required by Subsection (a). |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 2. Section 232.0025, Local Government Code, as |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | amended by this Act, applies only to a plat application filed on or |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
