11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Chapter 46, Penal Code, is amended by adding | |
13 | 13 | Section 46.051 to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 46.051. MANUFACTURE OF FIREARM WITHOUT FEDERAL LICENSE | |
15 | 15 | PROHIBITED. (a) A person who does not hold a federal license to | |
16 | 16 | manufacture firearms under 18 U.S.C. Section 923 commits an offense | |
17 | 17 | if the person intentionally or knowingly manufactures a firearm. | |
18 | 18 | (b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. | |
19 | 19 | (c) If conduct that constitutes an offense under this | |
20 | 20 | section also constitutes an offense under any other law, the actor | |
21 | 21 | may be prosecuted under this section, the other law, or both. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
